Obituary for JULIA EDITH LONG

Graveside services will be at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Dreamland Cemetery with Dr. Thomas L. Palmer, nephew, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. Julia Long was born on October 25, 1910 in Canyon to Fulton and Lucy Dowlen Brown. She received her teaching degree from West Texas Normal College and taught elementary school in Gallup, NM for thirty years. She married John J. Long in Gallup. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987, two brothers, Charlie and Herman Brown, and four sisters, Dochia Borders, Grace Palmer, Corinne Camp, and Sallie B. Allen. Survivors include her cousins George Dowlen of Amarillo and Marie Manley of Canyon; and several nieces and nephews
