Obituary for JUDY WOODALL

Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Canyon with Tracy Byrd, Son-in-love, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Judy Woodall was born on July 4, 1940 to Floyd and Marie Wallace in Colorado City, Texas. She married Rodger Woodall on October 20, 1956. The first 20 years of their marriage they lived in 21 different communities, finally settling in Canyon in 1977. She started working for First National Bank and was working for Wells Fargo as Branch Manager at the time of her retirement. She was a member of the Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce. She was President of United Way, spent 2 terms on the Board of Directors for Palo Duro Retirement Village, and was a Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church in Canyon. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Rodger Woodall, of Canyon; daughters, Dawn Horton and husband, Brad, of Andrews, Lisa Byrd and husband, Tracy, of Canyon; grandchildren, Rodger Horton and wife, Melanie, of Midland, Travis Horton and wife, Brianna, of Andrews, Shaina Weisgerber and husband, Nick, of Amarillo, and Staci Byrd of Wichita Falls; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Haylee Horton, and Ava and Noah Weisgerber; and sisters, Sheila Wilson, of Sidney, Texas and Debbie Lindsey, of Abilene The family suggests memorials be to the First Baptist Church of Canyon Library Fund, 1717 4th Ave. Canyon, Texas 79015, Odyssey Hospice 6900 I-40 W.
