Obituary for JOIS HAGAR

Graveside services will be at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, August 17, 2009 at Carney Cemetery, Carney, Oklahoma with Rev. Mark Davis, pastor of First Baptist Church of Carney, officiating. There will be a visitation on Sunday, August 16, from 2:30 to 4:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel in Canyon. Local arrangements by Brooks Funeral Directors. Graveside arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Jois "Alene" Hagar was born on March 6, 1931 in Humphrey, Oklahoma to Joe and Beulah Morrison O"Rear. She married Bethel Eugene "Gene" Hagar at Pampa, Texas on September 23, 1949. She was a homemeker, loved arts and crafts, and working with clay and needle work. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She moved many times in support of the many job related transfers of her husband, Gene, and made many close friends at all of their stops through Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, Barbara Dougherty, and a brother, Joe O"Rear. Survivors include a daughter, Kay Hagar, of Canyon, Texas; two sons, Larry Hagar and wife, Barbara, of Wellington, Kansas, and David Hagar and wife, Nancy, of Cypress, Texas; four grandchildren, Gene Alen Hagar, Kellie Hagar Knolles, David Dollar, and Terri Dollar Woods; and five great grandchildren, Bailey Dollar, Bekah Dollar, Garett Hagar, Suzann Hagar, and Trey Woods.
