Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Shawn Irvin, good family friend, officiating. Private burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Brooks Chapel.

Born Jo Beth Warren on February 3, 1955 to Jack and Leeora Warren, she was the second child of five children, but the first daughter. She was born in Amarillo, Tx and raised in Amarillo and Canyon. She graduated from Canyon High School where she met Ronnie Mathews with whom she spent 52 years, having and raising three daughters and working from the home. She was a lover of animals, and her daughters jokingly say she replaced them with fur babies as they became empty nesters. She was a rescuer by heart taking strays in wherever and whenever she would find them.

She was a tremendous prayer warrior and mother to all. She had a passion for high school students and taught in youth groups as the girls grew up. Beth moved to helping Ron preach in assisted living centers so they could spread the gospel to those who could no longer get out and about. She radiated Jesus and loved on all who crossed her path even until the very end.

Beth was loved by all, and she encouraged all who walked into the room. Not a person left without feeling loved, whether they just met her or knew her forever.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Doug, sister Beverly King and brother-in-law Mike Mowry.

She is survived by her husband of the home; daughters, Heather Jerrells (Rick) of Houston, TX, Jennifer Trook (Rob) of Amarillo, TX, and Niccol Vinyard (Landon) of Lorenzo, TX. She was known as Sugar to five grandchildren, Jada-Lauren von Osinski of College Station, TX, Jensen Sykes (Cole) of Seguin, TX, Ansley von-Growcock and Asher Jerrells of Houston, TX, and Gibson Vinyard of Lorenzo, TX; one great grandchild, Sykes, due in October; sisters, Joyce (Peanut) Smith (Gary) of Canyon, TX, and Linda (Fizzle) Mowry, of Canyon, TX; brother-in-law, Kent King of Amarillo; and many nieces, nephews, and bonus children who all called her mom.

Special thanks to her PT/OT team at the Medical Lodge for caring, cheerleading, and encouraging her during rehab and to Nurse Mona from Enhabit Hospice for gently caring for her in the last days.
