Obituary for JIM LINDSEY

Services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Brooks Chapel with Dale Westbrook, pastor of New Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating. Jim ""Pepa"" Lindsey was born February 20, 1946 in Bakersfield, California to Donald and Betty Lindsey. On June 1, 1965, Jim married Lucille Frick in Ely, Nevada. They then moved to the Amarillo and Canyon area and have lived here ever since. Jim retired in 2007 from the flooring and carpet installation business. He also had worked as a cowboy in the Texas Panhandle and Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald, brother, David, and his grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Lucille, of the home; two daughters, Jennie Palmer and husband, Michael, of Amarillo, Chrystal Hunton and husband, Sean, of Canyon; two sons, Russell Lindsey and wife, Teri, of Arkansas, Jake Lindsey, of the home; mother, Betty Lindsey, of Canyon; sister, Donna Lopez, of Austin; two brothers, Dale Lindsey and wife, Barbara, of Austin, Robbie Lindsey and wife, Annie, of Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; and one great grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to the Epilepsy Foundation West Texas, PO Box 5884, Amarillo, TX 79117.
