Obituary for JERRY DICKEY

Jerry Dickey, 73, of Weatherford, died on Thursday, February 2, 2017. Memorial services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 4 at the Rock of Helps Church with Pastor Sonny Buckingham and Rev. Nathaniel Hampton, pastor of Calvary Temple in Caldwell, Idaho, officiating. Jerry was born August 22, 1943 in Dawson County to Jessie and Hazel Barber Dickey. He went to O’donnell High School. Jerry was a longtime resident of Weatherford, where he was a private contractor. He built many of the college dorms, drive thru banks, and houses in the Weatherford area. He was semi-retired, but continued to build metal buildings and barns. He married Pam Farr in Weatherford in 1983. He attended Rock of Helps Church. Jerry loved his animals and his "friendly coffee catch" each morning. He had many close friends and was loved and well respected throughout the community, especially his neighborhood. He was preceded in death by his dad at an early age; his parents, Hazel and Vernon Cook; and a son, DeWayne Farr. Survivors include his wife, Pam Dickey; daughter, Patricia Hampton and husband Nathaniel; 3 sons, Kelly Dickey and wife Cathy, Edward Dickey, Brent Dickey and wife Stacey; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Robert Dickey and wife Vonda, Jerald Dickey and wife Mary, and Royce Dickey and wife Freda.
