Obituary for Jeanette Kay Norton
Jeanette Kay Norton, 56, of Canyon, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Arena of Life Church with Travis Bennett officiating. Burial will be at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.
Jeanette was born on February 14, 1966 in Denver, Colorado to Fredrick and Fern (Woodside) Ames. She received her master’s degree from the University of Phoenix in business and hospital administration, and her BA in accounting. Jeanette married John Norton on December 20, 1986 in Byers, Colorado. She was the love of his life and his forever soulmate.
Jeanette was always friendly, had a big heart, and always had a smile on her face. She was a devoted Christian and was a member of Arena of Life Church.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her mother, Fern Ames. Survivors include her husband, John Norton; her father, Frederick Ames; brother, Gary Ames; stepson, Jeff Norton and wife, Wendy; stepdaughter, Amy Cyr; grandson, Garrett Cyr; niece, Katie Ames; nephew, Brandon Ames; several cousins; and many other extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Arena of Life Church, PO Box 8577, Amarillo, TX 79114.
