Obituary for JEAN TIPPERY

Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the First Assembly of God Church in Canyon with Rev. Billy D. Nickell, pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Jean Tippery was born on January 5, 1920 in Carter, Oklahoma to William and Sallie Bingham McAtee. She married C.N. "Blackie" Tippery in Amarillo in 1942. He preceded her in death in 1984. Jean was employed by Canyon Independent School District for 45 years and was the manager at the Jr. High Cafeteria for over 30 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Ruth Chandler, and three brothers, Don, Earl, and Floyd McAtee. Survivors include three daughters, Sally Mosier and husband, Phil, of Amarillo, Jeannita Higginbotham and husband, Rob, of Canyon, and JoElyn Richardson and husband, Joel, of Canyon; five grandchildren, Wade Mosier and wife, Cathy, of Edmond, OK, Chad Mosier and wife, Darbi, of Oklahoma City, OK, Kimberly Copeland and husband, Chris, of Canyon, Kevin Higginbotham, of Aurora, CO, and Justin Ziegler, of Houston; and five great grandchidren, Nelson and Micayla Mosier, Calea Jean and Cade Mosier, and Liberty "Libbie" Copeland. The family suggests memorials be to the Amarillo Heart Association, 6605 IH 40 West, Amarillo, Texas 79106.
