Obituary for JAMES ALFRED PAULEY

Services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at the First Baptist Church of Canyon with Dr. Charles Price and Rev. Thomas Echols officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mr. Pauley was born on February 18, 1929 in Concordia, Kansas to Joseph and Esta McEldery Pauley. He graduated from Woodston, Kansas. He married Vera Echols in Albuquerque, NM in 1961. He was a diaryman for Charlie Gerald in Randall County for many years. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Deirdre R. Pauley, in 1964. Survivors include his wife, Vera Echols Pauley, of the home; three daughters Pat Pattiani, of Las Vegas, NV, Enola Nichols, of Amarillo, and Amanda Crawford, of McLean, TX; four sons, Ronald Pauley, of Las Vegas, NV, Alton Allen, of Ralls, TX, Terry Allen, of Apache Junction, AZ, and James Pauley, of Amarillo; one sister, Jolean Strut, of Moreland, KS; one brother, Gail Lynn Pauley, of California; twenty grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, PO Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79101, or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
