Obituary for JAMES IRLBECK

Memorial services for James "Jim" Irlbeck, 73, of Canyon will be held Satruday, January 14, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church of Canyon with Rev. Clark Williams, pastor, and Raymond Hinders, family friend, officiating. Private interment will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Jim Irlbeck was born April 2, 1932 in Swisher County to Fred and Gertrude Irlbeck. He lived in Randall County his entire life and attended school in Canyon. He married Amelia Skelley in 1959. Mr. Irlbeck was a life long rancher and farmer and was well known among cattlemen for his expertise in the industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Mary Ann Jansen, Shirley Conant, and Charlotte McDaniel, and one brother, Larry Irlbeck. Survivors include his wife, Amelia, of the home; four children, James Irlbeck and wife, Cindy, of Canyon, Janie Irlbeck, of Amarillo, Jay Irlbeck, of Canyon, and Jennifer Irlbeck, of Lubbock; daughter-in-law, Alecia Irlbeck, of Canyon; two brothers, Gilbert Irlbeck and Ray Irlbeck, both of Canyon; and six grandchildren. Other survivors include nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to your favorite charity.
