Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 at Dreamland Cemetery with Rev. Gordon Cox, pastor of The Summit, officiating. J. Scott Davis was born on February 1, 1935 in Higgins, Texas to James L. and Alleyne Scott Davis. He graduated from Higgins High School and West Texas State College in Canyon. Scott married Opal Thompson in 1954 in Higgins, Texas. He was a former co-owner of WESCO, Welding Supply Company, in Amarillo. He moved back to Canyon from Houston, Texas in 1979. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal, in 2002. Survivors include; his son, Brian Davis of Plainview, Texas; and one sister, Virginia Steinle of Clovis, New Mexico.
