Obituary for HELEN SISSON

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. Helen Sisson was born on October 24, 1934 to Alex and Opal Hopkins in Steelville, Missouri. Growing up as a child, her family finally settled in Gallup, New Mexico where she graduated High School and where her children were born. She then moved to Roswell, New Mexico where she raised her children. Helen later moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico where she attended New Mexico State University, where she received an Associate Degree as a Registered Nurse. She retired from Guadalupe Medical Center where she worked as an Emergency Room Nurse. After retirement she moved to Canyon, Texas to be with her family. China painting was her passion. Helen"s devotion and love to her children and grandchildren was exceptional as well as her faith in God. She was preceded in death by her parents of Gallup, New Mexico, brother, Dale Hopkins and sister, Patty Hopkins. Survivors include her sister Alicia Travis and husband, Buddy of Athens, Texas; brother, Rex Hopkins of Colorado City, Texas; daughter, Cathy Parker and husband, Omer of Canyon, Texas; two sons, Charley Radcliff and wife, Debbie of LaConner, Washington; and Shawn Radcliff and wife, Aliina of Aztec, New Mexico; four grandsons, Lee Parker of Adrian, Texas, Randy Parker -of Garden City, Kansas, and Nicholas and Jarrett Radcliff of Aztec, New Mexico; two grandaughters, Jennifer Ivey of Vega, Texas and Jessica Arnold of Bellingham, Washington; and two great grandsons, Johnathon and Jerimiah Arnold of Bellingham, Washington.
