Obituary for HAROLD W. HOUDYSHELL

Harold W. Houdyshell went on to be with his Lord Jesus after a lengthy hospital stay in Dallas. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at the Southwest Church of Christ in Amarillo with Phil Harguess, pastor, and Bob Shepard, Elder and Bible Chair Director, University Church of Christ in Canyon, officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, February 11, 2005 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mr. Houdyshell was born on July 7, 1939 in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Dallas and Midland, Texas. He married Faye Kilpatrick in Odessa on May 16, 1962. He was employed for thirty-two and one-half years at El Paso Natural Gas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Faye, of the home; his daughter, Stefanie Turpen, and husband, Allen, of Owasso, OK; his son, Sam Houdyshell, and wife, Judy, of Flower Mound, Texas, and three grandchildren, Leah and Lindsey Turpen, and Spencer Houdyshell.
