Obituary for Gwynnith Delaine Burchett

Gwynnith Delaine Burchett, 75 of Lubbock passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Canyon with Pastor John Elser, officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10 from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Gwynn was born on November 6, 1943 in Plainview, Texas to Edwin Lewis and Ima Jean Strange Neeley. Gwynn enjoyed cake decorating, cooking, and catering weddings in Happy. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and spending Dewayne’s money. She loved watching her Cowboys and her grandchildren play ball. She also loved Elvis Presley, George Strait, playing games, puzzles, pigs and square dancing. She was known for her wonderful sense of humor and heart for others. She had a fun and feisty personality and was always so full of life. She was devoted to her family and friends. Spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren gave her great joy. Most of all she was a loving and kind mom, sister, grandma and great grandma. She was an angel on earth and now she’s an angel in heaven. She was preceded in death by Weldon Tucek, Jack Carmen, Weldon “Butch” Burchett, Sandra Steele, Butch Brannon, Sue Breedlove, Lewis and Mark Neeley, Jean Strange and Edwin Neeley. Survivors include her children, Lonnie Tucek and wife, Andreita, Melissa Carabajal and husband, Gilbert, and Dewayne Tucek; grandchildren, Ashley Aragon and Jared Persefield, Tanner and Rachel Aragon, Seth Tucek, Zach Carabajal, Christina and Jose Flores, Adely Flores, and Daniel Flores; great grandchildren, Paike Aragon, Adelyn Persefield, Valerie Flores and Dahlia Flores; sisters, Georgia Neeley and Ruth Cremin; and a brother, Gary Neeley.
