Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 12 at Brooks Chapel with Craig Albracht, minister of Amarillo South Church, officiating. Interment is at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 11 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Glenda Gale Woodard was born October 24, 1942 in Shattuck, Oklahoma to Glenn and Naomi Clem Thompson. She graduated from High School in Booker, Texas. On August 6, 1961, Glenda married Lew Woodard at Booker. Glenda and her husband, Lew, made their home on the family farm near Arnett, Oklahoma in 1966, where they raised their family. They moved to Amarillo in 1988. She loved getting the family together for cookouts and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Barbara Guy. Survivors include her husband, Lew Woodard, of the home; three children, Teena Cornett and husband, Ricky, of Alva, OK, Gregg Woodard and wife, Judy, of Amarillo, Mark Woodard and wife, Shann, of Gilmer, TX; and seven grandchildren, Brady, Kirsten, and Sagan Cornett, Aaron Woodard and Lauren Woodard Reyna and husband, Matt, and Madalyn and Macie Woodard.
