Obituary for G B. DIXON

Services will be 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at University Church of Christ with David Lough officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. Dick was born on September 16, 1927 in Sunny Side, Texas. He graduated from Amarillo High School and then served his country in the National Guard. He farmed for over thirty years in the Happy area. He had a great love for flying and owned his own planes. He also enjoyed golf. He married his beloved Billie Hartman on August 25, 1956 in Amarillo. They celebrated their fiftieth anniversary this year. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Annie Dixon. The family gives their heartfelt thanks to Hospice of the Southwest for their guidance and compassion during a difficult time. Survivors left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Billie, an aunt and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his extended family, Coreta McReynolds, Denise Bolden, Marlene Bolden, W. D. Revel and wife, LaNelle, Jane Revel, D"Ann Bowers and husband, Richard and their children, Robbie, Matthew, Karysee, Courtney; Resa and husband, Tommy Moerbe and their children, Karlan and Kelsi; and Shawna and husband, Daryl Williams and their children, Gray and Brogen.
