Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 31, 2007 at Brook's Chapel with Pastor Kevin D. Oakley, minister, Mescalero Baptist Church, officiating. Burial is in Carey Cemetery at Carey, Texas near Childress. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Brook"s Chapel. Florene O';Dell Rascoe Bible was born on July 12, 1916 in Point, Texas to Sam and Clair Fenter. Florene moved to Canyon in 1988 from Childress. She was a member of the Mescalero Baptist Church. Mrs. Bible retired as a Medical Assistant in 1986. After retirement she was a homemaker. She loved to sew and quilt. She also loved taking care of her flowers. Florene always wanted her family to be around her at all times. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Rascoe, in 1976; daughter, Reta Rascoe; son, Sammy G. Rascoe; her parents; a sister; and three brothers. Survivors include her husband, Ray Bible, of the Home; two sons, Joe Frank Rascoe, of Amarillo, C.D. Rascoe, of Canyon; three daughters, Anna Autrey, of Burleson, TX, Barbara Davis, of Burleson, TX, Katherine Denton, of Queen Creek, AZ; sister, Betty West, of Point, Texas; ten grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild.
