Obituary for Eric Stocker
Eric Alan Stocker, 41, of Amarillo, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022.
Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Canyon with Father Scott Raef as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Umbarger. A vigil will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday, September 5, 2022 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.
Eric was born on September 25, 1980 in Canyon to William and Victoria (Vial) Stocker. He was a 1999 graduate of Canyon High School and was attending college, working toward a degree in Human Resources. He married Sarah Driskill at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Umbarger on July 20, 2002.
Eric dearly loved his family and especially loved taking his boys camping and fishing. He was exceptionally intelligent and will be lovingly remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He was also very talented at woodworking. Eric was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.
Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Lois Stocker and Dan and Ann Vial. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Stocker; his four sons, Nicholas, Easton, Nolan, and Titus Stocker; his parents, William and Victoria Stocker; three sisters, Yvette Knavel and husband, Chris, Danielle Watson and husband, David, and Tiphanie Loven and husband, Heath; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials be to Kolbe Prison Ministries.
