Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Brooks Chapel. Emma Lee Hicks was born on December 12, 1948 in Canyon to Roland and Joan Hutchison Hicks. She graduated from Canyon High School in 1967 and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from West Texas State University in 1975. She worked as office manager for American Brokerage Company for many years, retiring in 2015. Lee was devoted to her family and loved to cook. She took care of her three brothers and enjoyed life. She loved ladies basketball and was an avid fan of the Lady Buffs, the Lady Texas Longhorns, and the Duke Blue Devils. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Bottle Club. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her three brothers, Randall Hicks of Amarillo, Ronnie Hicks and wife, Denise of Amarillo, and Brad Hicks of Canyon; three nephews, Brandon Hicks of Canyon, and Brett and Trey Hicks of Amarillo; one niece, Baylee Hicks of Amarillo; four great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
