Services will be 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the University Church of Christ with David Lough, pastor, and Rev. Cason Huddleston, pastor of The River Church in Rowlett, Texas, officiating. Burial will follow at Dreamland Cemetery. Emil Joe Halencak was born on December 29, 1943 to Lonnie and Julie Kubicek Halencak in Crowell, Texas. He graduated from Lockett High School in 1963 and attended West Texas State University. Emil married Anna Gabel on January 20, 1967 in Dimmitt, Texas. He was a member of the University Church of Christ. He worked with Affiliated Foods for fifteen years and for the last twenty-five years he worked for Allsups. Emil loved his grandsons. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marci Galloway in 1995, his brother, Jim Halencak in 1997, and his mother in 2005. Survivors include his wife, Anna Halencak of the home; son Andy Halencak and his wife, Tammy of Canyon; four grandsons, Jon Galloway of the home, Chris Halencak of Canyon, Clay Halencak of Canyon, and Clint Halencak of Canyon ; father, Lonnie Halencak of Vernon; sister, Barbara Caviness of Vernon; and three brothers, Bob Halencak and wife, Debra of Childress, John Halencak and wife, Carol of Vernon, and Tom Halencak and wife, Neisha of Plainview.
