Obituary for EDWIN LEE KISER

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 2 at Brooks Chapel with Dale Jones, officiating. Burial is at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. Edwin Lee "Ed" Kiser was born December 10, 1950 to Floyd and Drennan Harding Kiser in Canyon. He graduated from Canyon High School and then received two Masters of Archeology degrees, one from West Texas A&M University and the other from TWU in Denton, Texas. He also attended Brigham Young University in Salt Lake City, Utah. Ed showed a great deal of interest in Archeology and old western history. He published two research papers, one on Adobe Walls and one on Carlsbad, New Mexico. Ed was also a very talented musician. Ed was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He spent his last twenty years in the Denison, Texas area. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elaine Stovall. Survivors include two sisters, Korene Walker, of Carrizozo, NM, Sue James, of Wakita, OK; a brother, Floyd Dewayne Kiser, of Carrizozo, NM; five nieces; and one nephew.
