Obituary for Edward Bryan

Edward Bryan, 67, passed away on December 16, 2001. He lost a three and a half year battle with cancer. Services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 20, 2001 at the Cole Community Center in Canyon, Texas with Kevin Naillieux, Berlin Raymond, and John Mulford officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 Wednesday, December 19th at Brooks Chapel, Canyon, TX. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. He was born to Homer and Dorotha Bryan on March 17, 1934 at Happy, Texas. He attended schools at Happy, graduating in May of 1952. He farmed for four years then owned and operated Bryan Construction since 1956. He lived and worked in Nacogdoches, Pampa, and Decatur, Texas before moving to Fayetville, Arkansas, then to Hindsville, Arkansas where he resided until his death. He was preceded in death by his father, Homer Bryan, on February 1, 1981, his son, Montye Lee Bryan, on February 5, 1997, and a nephew, Kenny Bryan, on December 31, 1997. Survivors include two daughters, Sherla Johnson, of Hindsville, AR, and Renita Riggs, of Rogers, AR; his mother, Dorotha Bryan, of Canyon, TX; two brothers, Harold Bryan, of Huntsville, AR, and Roy Bryan, of Happy, TX; two sisters, Laura Bassett, of Alpine, TX, and Edna Bassett, twin sister, of Happy, TX; six grandsons, Jake, Justin, Jason, and Joshua Johnson and Landon and Trenton Riggs, and one granddaughter, Chloe Riggs; and two great granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Madison Johnson. He also leaves nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Circle of Lights Hospice, at 610 E. Emma, Springdale, Arkansas 72764.
