Obituary for EDGAR L. CRANMER

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 30, 2005 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. James Burns, pastor of San Jacinto Full Gospel Church of Amarillo, and Rev. Paul Dunn, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Edgar L. Cranmer was born on November 15, 1940 in Conway, Texas to Elmer and Elizabeth Nepper Cranmer. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1960 and attended West Texas College. He married Linda Allen in Amarillo in 1959. They moved to Canyon in 1965 where he was a dairyman and farmer. He left the dairy business in 1991 and continued farming until present. He was also the Weigh Master at the Portales Livestock Auction. He loved to play pool and was a member of the BCA National Pool Association. He was also a member of the Farm Bureau and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by one son, Kendall Cranmer, in 2002. With much appreciation for the love and support given us by longtime friends Larry Rolen, David Reasoner, Walter and Ty Cranmer, and the Portales Livestock Auction. Survivors include his wife, Linda Cranmer, of the home; one son, Dan Cranmer, and wife, Michele, of Canyon; four sisters, Dorothy Masten, of Canyon, Sharon McCarley, of Happy, Peggy Ferguson, and husband, Jerry, of Canyon, and Leta Rolen, and husband, Larry, of Canyon; one brother, Walter Cranmer, of Canyon; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
