Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, August 29, 2003 at the First United Methodist Church of Canyon with Rev. Kevin Deckard, pastor of Westover Fellowship Church of Amarillo, and Rob Blum, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Kress, officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulia, TX. Mr. Love was born on November 30, 1927 to William and Bessie (Scott) Love. He married Loveta Newsom at Tulia on July 22, 1945. He owned Prairie Cattle and Grain Company and Love Grain in Tulia. He also farmed and was a supporter of Future Farmers of America. He was a member and past president of Kiwanis of Tulia and was an Honor Leader of Boy Scouts of Tulia. He served on the Tulia Industrial Development Board and on the board of the Portales Christian ChildrenA???s Home. He was also a board member of Western Christian College of Canada and served as president of the Texas Grain Dealers Association. He was a member of Tulia Central Church of Christ. He and his wife moved to Canyon from Tulia in January of 1995. Survivors include his wife, Loveta, -of th home, two sons, Jim Love, and wife, Kathy, of Bethlehem, PA, and Lynn Love, and wife, LeeAnn, of Canyon; sister, Yvonne Mansfield, of Detroit, Michigan; five grandchildren, Jeff and Kevin Love, of Atlanta Georgia, and Chance, Ginny, and Garrett Love, of Canyon; and one great granddaughter, Brianna Love, of Atlanta Georgia.
