Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 10 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. John McClean, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Dorothy Palmer McClure was born August 22, 1922. The Palmer family were early pioneers in the Shamrock area. She graduated from West Texas State University with a Master's Degree in Education. She married Charles Boone McClure in 1948 in Canyon. He preceded her in death in 1993. Dorothy was an English teacher in Canyon for many years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Loeffler; two granddaughters, Samantha Lauren Brenner and Catherine Megan Brenner; and a sister, Helen Palmer Laycock.
