Services will be 10:00 AM Friday May 8 at Brooks Chapel with Gig Siemens, of Lowell, Arkansas, officiating. Private interment at Dreamland Cemetery. Dorothy was born July 25, 1916 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Dave and Edna Hammack. She married Cecil Dahlke in 1938 and the union was blessed with two daughters, Patty and Carolyn. They lived in the Mountain Home area until 1964, when they moved to Canyon to open a White"s Auto Store along with their daughters and husbands. Dorothy for the most part of her life was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ, since her teens and attended 6th Avenue Church of Christ in Canyon. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Cecil in 2002; a daughter, Patty Weidner in 2000; two sisters; and a brother. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Morris and husband, Howard, of Canyon; two grandchildren, Paula Siemens and husband, Gig, of Lowell, Arkansas, Randy Morris and wife, Sonya, of Amarillo; four great grandchildren, Nicole Reeves and husband, Will, of Benton, Arkansas, Lindsay Siemens, of Lowell, Arkansas, Timmy and Sadie Morris, of Amarillo; two great great grandchildren, Seth and Meredith Reeves, of Benton, Arkansas; a brother, Doyle Hammack and wife, Ava Lea, of Mountain Home, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Odyssey Hospice, 6900 I-40 W., Suite 1500, Amarillo, TX 79106, Canyon Healthcare, 15 Hospital Drive, Canyon, TX 79015, or to your favorite charity. The family would like to give a special thanks to The Hudson House Assisted Living Center in Canyon.
