Obituary for DOROTHY FOSTER BOURQUE

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Hillside Christian Church Canyon Campus with Bryan Cooper, Chaplain, Interim Hospice officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. On August 14, 2012 Dottie Bourque took a deep breath in Heaven. Dorothy "Dottie" Bachman Foster Bourque was born December 11, 1938 to Henry and Eva Bachman, the seventh of eight children. Dottie graduated from Stratford High School in 1957. She married Dick Foster in 1959 and they raised four children in the Wayside-Happy community where they were active in Jaycees, Rodeo Club and Happy Days. After Dick"s death, Dottie raised their four children working as a bookkeeper in the Tulia area and owned the Corner Drug Store in Happy. With the kids raised, she moved to Amarillo where she worked at Plains Plumbing until she retired in 2000. In 1999, her second love danced into her life, and she married Ivan Bourque in May 2000. They spent several years exploring the United States, creating a nationwide network of RV friends. Dottie exemplified strength through perseverance as the backbone of her family. He love was unwavering and as her family expanded so did her bountiful love. In addition to her first husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Eva Bachman, brothers, Alvin, Melvin and Robert Bachman, and twin sisters Ida Gaylord and Vida Warner. She is survived by her husband, Ivan Bourque, a brother Richard "Dickie" Bachman and wife Kay, a sister, Norma Nail and husband Mike, sister-in-law Mary Milam, and one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law from Louisiana. She is also survived by her children: Lissa Schoenenberger and husband Michael, Dana Moreland and husband Jay, Kim Thomas, Kelly Foster and wife Tammy, Kimber Clark, Jodie Patrick and husband Lance, and Dore Klinnert and husband Shane. Grandchildren, Kiri Neill, Ky Schoenenberger, JJ Scott; Jett and JeNae Moreland; Misti Thomas; Tana Cordell; Tricia Green; Brigitte, Kassie and TJ Traylor; Danielle, Rachel and Jamie Barrett; Macy Klinnert; Kasie Baugh; Brittney and Brandon McWilliams. Great grandchildren: Trapper and Archer Neill, Kyler Moreland, Sloan Scott, M"Kabry and Kacyn Thomas; and Brendi, Bryce and Leiland Green; Makenzie and Katelyn McWilliams and many loved nieces, nephews and friends. The family also wishes to express sincere gratitude for the excellent care given to Dottie by the Interim Hospice team, especially Becki Lehrmann and Bryan Cooper.
