Services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 1 at Happy's Memorial Chapel with James Jones, officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Amarillo. Viewing will be at Happy's Memorial Chapel in Happy. Dolores Morris was born June 15, 1936 in Dodson, Texas to Marvin and Alva Burns Tisdale. She married Jerry Morris on May 29, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. After 46 wonderful years together he preceded her in death in 2000. Dolores was a Baptist, and an avid bowler. For 15 years, she was the bookkeeper for Andy Taylor Trucking in Plainview, and then she became the bookkeeper for Douglas Oil until she became the owner of Morris Trucking for 10 years. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Peggy Stabel. Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Wheeler and husband, David, of Vega, Cathy Dougherty and husband, Glen, of Happy; a son, Charlie Morris and wife, Resa, of Lake City, FL; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Wanda Banks, Sammie Lytal, and Nancy Whatley; a brother, Jerry Tisdale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
