Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Brooks Chapel with Shane Nease, pastor of Living Water Christian Fellowship, officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 20, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Brooks Chapel. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery. Mrs. Davis began her journey in eternity with God on August 18, 2010. She was born on February 22, 1923 to Herman Dean and Annie Mae Robertson in Sayre, Oklahoma. She married James Dale Brock in November, 1942 in Dumas, Texas and moved to Canyon in 1945 where they opened Brock Plumbing and Heating. They also opened and operated B&W Coin Laundry. She was a housewife, secretary, and book keeper until her sons took over the plumbing business in 1970, when Dale retired. She worked for the Canyon School District in the cafeteria, a Home Health Care worker and was a Hospice Volunteer until Palo Duro Hospital closed. She enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and gardening. She was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon. Mrs. Davis is preceded in death by both her husbands, James Dale Brock of 41 years, and Joe K. Davis of 10 years, her parents Herman Dean and Annie Mae Robertson, two sons, Gary Dewayne Brock, and Bobby Wayne Brock, one daughter Peggy Sue Brock, four brothers, Curtis Robertson, Doice Robertson, and Virgil Robertson, all of Amarillo, Clyde Robertson of California, and two sisters, Verbal Robertson, of the home, and Julia Holland, of California. Survivors include four sons, Robert Keith Brock and wife, LaHounda, of Wichita Falls, Ronald Dale Brock and wife, Merl, Stephen E. Brock and wife, Brenda, and Terry Dean Brock and wife, Sandy, all of Canyon; one sister, Vannie Long, and one brother, Owen Robertson and wife, Judy, both of Amarillo; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, ten nieces and eleven nephews.
