Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2007 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Rev. Larry Richardson, pastor of Palisades Fellowship Baptist Church of Amarillo, officiating. Masonic Graveside Rites in Dreamland Cemetery. Darrell Franklin was born on August 28, 1933 to Eula Rogers and Herbert Ray Franklin in Happy, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Canyon Masonic Lodge 730 and Palisades Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Franklin of the home; daughter, Carol Gann and husband, Jackie of Sandpoint, Idaho; two sons, Wes Franklin of Lovelady, Texas, and Bill Franklin of Amarillo, Texas; brother, Bill Franklin of Okinawa, Japan; five grandchildren, Darra, Jenna, Jarrett, Cody, and Scotty; great granddaughter, Keelie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family requests memorials be sent to their favorite charity.
