Obituary for CORA MAY CALLARMAN

Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 20 at Dreamland Cemetery. Cora May Humphrey was born January 28, 1910 in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She attended Oklahoma A&M University, where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and a Rifle Team Letterman. Cora May was married to Cecil Clarence "C.C." Callarman, Professor of Business and first Dean of the School of Business at West Texas State College. Cora lived in Corvallis, Oregon for seventeen years and in Canyon, Texas from 1956 to 1983. She was an avid gardener and member of the North Plains Iris Society, where she was consistently a winner with her iris. Cora was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Magna Charta Dames, Daughters of the Mayflower, and actively involved in the PTA. Cora May was preceded in death by her husband, C.C., and a son, Charles Elbert. Surivors include her five sons, John Alan, of Krum, Texas, Don Wilson, of Denver, Colorado, William Glen, of Casselberry, Florida, James Robert, of Basile, Louisiana, Thomas Evan, of Amarillo and Shanghai, China; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth, of Cleveland, Oklahoma; a niece, June Bradfield, of Shawnee, Oklahoma; three nephews, Bill Humphrey, of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, Bert Humphrey, of Norman, Oklahoma, Dan Callarman, of Bodega Bay, California; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
