Obituary for Claudine Clark

Claudine Clark, 85, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 7th, 2021. She was born to Claude and Bessie Jackson on August 24, 1935 and was one of nine children. She met Albert Clark at West Texas State University and they married on November 28th, 1956. Claudine was a joy filled wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who spent most of her life in Spearman, Texas. She always considered Hansford County her home. She influenced hundreds of lives throughout her teaching career and was often mentioned as a favorite among her students. She also owned a monogram business, catered special events with her sister June, and worked as a nail technician at Sandy’s. The common thread in all these roles, was the way she loved people. Claudine was a genuine soul who deeply cared for everyone she met. If you were blessed to receive a batch of cinnamon rolls or homemade candy you enjoyed some of the absolute best. She truly loved cooking for her loved ones and friends. In recent years, she became a passionate fan of the San Antonio Spurs. Above all, Claudine loved Jesus. Her faith was strong and her witness powerfully influenced those she encountered.

She is survived by her two children, Carrie Tidwell and husband Mark and Roney Clark and wife VeAnn; four grandchildren, Emily Smolen and husband Andrew, Lukas Tidwell and wife Caroline, Reese Clark, and Ry Clark; two great granddaughters, Camille and baby sister due in December; one sister, June Barkley; and two brothers Pat Jackson and Punk Jackson.

A memorial service will be held at the Spearman Church of Christ on Wednesday, August 11th at 2:00pm.
