Obituary for Christopher David 'Chris' Willilams

Christopher David ‘Chris’ Williams, 51, of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020.

We will be having a “Celebrate A Journey Home” on June 19, 2021. Graveside services will be held at the Vega Cemetery, in Vega Texas at 10:00 A.M. The Memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. at Canyon Country Free Will Baptist Church, 2600 FM 3331, in Canyon Texas. Dee Slocum, Pastor at First Baptist Church Adrian Texas; Jeff Cates, Pastor at Canyon Country Church Canyon Texas; and Daryl Williams, Elder at Cross Brand Cowboy Church, Stillwater, Ok, will be officiating.

Chris is survived by his wife, Jan Newton and daughters, Kaelynn and Dakota of Amarillo; parents, Terry and Jolene Williams of Canyon; and brother, Daryl Williams and sister-in-law, Shawna; nephew, Gray; niece, Brogan and her husband, Lewis, all of Stillwater, OK. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and church family.

Chris was born on May 30, 1969, in Tularosa, N.M., but grew up in the Texas panhandle, in Adrian, Amarillo, and Canyon. He went to school in Amarillo, and Canyon, graduating from Canyon High School in 1987. He was also a graduate of Phoenix Institute of Technology with a degree in CAD Design. Chris was employed in the area utilizing his skills as a single family house designer, site preparation and construction, concrete construction, and was employed by Conner Industries as a Project Manager.
