Charles was born on October 27, 1940 to Ivan and Evelyn Sipchanko Mesnard in Harvey, Illinois. He was a graduate of the Ozark Adventist Academy in Gentry, Arkansas, Pacific Union College in Angwin, California and Andrews Adventist University in Berrien Springs, Michigan.

He married Esther J. Gillham in Amarillo, Texas on July 3, 1960.

After finishing school, he worked as a Seventh Day Adventist Minister and then spent several years selling printing equipment. He later opened and operated his own business, Chester’s Auto Dealer Supply, and was currently working as a graphic designer.

Charles was a member of the Ministerial Alliance of Tulia and an Elder at the Tulia Seventh Day Adventist Church.

Charles was a published author. He loved reading, writing, and studying history and the Bible. He also loved the weather and was previously the weather statistic collector in Tulia.

He was an amazing father and was known for being extremely patriotic. He would give you the shirt off his back, if you needed a dollar, he would give it to you, and if he did not have a dollar, he would find you one.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother who passed 5 years ago to the date, Bob Mesnard.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Esther Mesnard of Wayside; son, Jonathan Mesnard of Happy; daughter, Evelyn Mesnard Donnelly of Tulia; three grandsons, Shay Mesnard, Lyndon Mesnard, and Oakley Mesnard; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Wayside Cemetery, Box 155, Wayside, TX 79094.
