Graveside services were held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Dreamland Cemetery. Carrie Guthrie Oldham was born March 1, 1912 to John A. Guthrie, Sr. and Edna Wallace Guthrie in Canyon, Texas. She was a life long Canyon resident until 2004 when she moved to the Craig Retirement Center in Amarillo. She belonged to the First United Methodist Church of Canyon. She married Clinton Oldham August 25, 1934. Carrie was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton in 1976, one brother, John A. Guthrie, JR., and one sister, Louise Guthrie Brown. Survivors include her daughter, Sidney Shaller and husband, Rolla, of Amarillo; one granddaughter, Amanda (Mandy) Richardson and husband, Justin, of Canyon; two sisters, Ruby Jennings and husband, Jack, of Canyon, and Betty Goddard, of Highland Heights, KY; a brother, James W. Guthrie and wife, Virginia, of Albuquerque, NM; sister-in-law, Irma Guthrie, of Athens, TX; and six nieces and nephews. The family requests memorials be sent to Dreamland Cemetery, P.O.
