Graveside services will be at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, October 31, 2011 at Dreamland Cemetery with Howard Morris and Alvin Howard officiating. Buenta G. McKay was born on November 10, 1909 in Channing to Leonard and Katherine Bankey Bouldin. She married Radford O. McKay on April 17, 1932 in Amarillo and he preceded her in death in 1985. She taught school in Channing and was a member of the Westside Club in Canyon. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and great cook. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lawson, of Austin; her son, Robert R. McKay, of Pennsylvania; a daughter-in-law, Ceola McKay, of Canyon; six grandchildren, Robert L., Steven, Cindi, Robert M., Christopher, and Trella; and three great grandchildren. She was also survived by her son, Len R. McKay, who followed her in death shortly after on Friday.
