Obituary for Bryanetta Collins
Bryanetta Collins, 90, of Canyon, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Rev. Steve Olsen, pastor of First Baptist Church of Canyon, officiating.
Bryanetta was born on February 22, 1931 in Rising Star, Texas to Bryan and Geraldine Milner. As firstborn, she was named in honor of her father, Bryan. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canyon since 1977.
Bryanetta retired from Canyon Chiropractic after 27 years as a Chiropractic Assistant. She made many friends while working there. She loved living in Canyon and especially living at Palo Duro Retirement Village, where she made many more friends! In 2016 she moved to Park Central’s Assisted Living in Amarillo.
She enjoyed playing bridge and crafting with her hands such as sewing items with needle and thread, cutting with scissors, and in later years, she enjoyed adult coloring.
Her simple but genuine kindness touched the hearts of many. Her silliness was endearing, her love was never ending. Her passion for life was contagious.
Bryanetta was survived by her loving companion, a daughter, a son, two grandsons, two great-grandsons, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family suggests memorials be to the First Baptist Church, 1717 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79015 or to Palo Duro Retirement Village, #9 Hospital Dr., Canyon, TX 79015.
