Obituary for BONNIE DELORES DILLIN

Services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 19, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church of Canyon with Rev.Clark Williams and Rev. Donna Johnston officiating. Mrs. Dillin was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 3, 1936 to Domonic and Linnie Lukowski. When Bonnie was six years old they moved to Maxwell, Nebraska where they leased a farm and ranch operation. She graduated from Maxwell High School and then in 1955, graduated from Central Business College in Denver, Colorado. After completing the Business course she returned home and worked at the ASC office in North Platte, Nebraska. In 1957, she married Robert "Bob" Dillin in the Catholic church in North Platte, Neb. Later in 1957 they moved to the Hansen Ranch at Keystone, Neb. where she helped with ranch life for the next 37 years. In this time 3 children were born Amy Sue, Barbara Lin, and Clark Allen. She served as a 4-H leader, held office in the Extension Club, Library Club and a member of the Alter Society in Ogallala, Nebraska. Besides being a ranch wife and cook, she worked at the Holiday Inn, Lamberts Building Center and First National Bank in Ogallala, Nebraska. In 1994 Bob and Bonnie moved to Amarillo, Texas to semi-retire. She worked for a short period of time at Coulter Gardens, and then in 1995 she worked for a pharmaceutical company which is now known as Plum Creek Pharmacy. She loved her work and co-workers and became a certified technician. She also holds certificate in Human and Vet Compounding and Sterilization for injection and served as a managing supervisor. She has been a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husand, Bob Dillin, of Amarillo, two daughters, Amy Smith Hibner, of Springer, NM, and Barbara Lin Wagner, of Williston, ND; one son, Clark Allen Dillin, of Granbury, TX; two sisters, Kathy Eiler, Reno, NV, and Teddy Waugh, of Paxton, NE; her mother, Linnie Herrmann, of Tonganoxie, KS; one brother, Dennis Lukowski, of Tonganoxie, KS, and four grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony"s Hospice, PO Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79176, or Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106.
