Obituary for Bobby Richardson

Bobby Richardson passed away on Friday, January 19th at BSA in Amarillo, TX. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Lake Tanglewood Community Church with Pastor Jon Kohler officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday at White Deer Cemetery in White Deer, TX. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon.

Bobby was born June 14th, 1948 in Pampa, TX to Eugene "Pete" Richardson and Verna Mae Inman Richardson. He was raised in White Deer, Texas and graduated from White Deer High School. He went on to attend West Texas State University and graduated with a master’s in accounting.

Bobby was employed by Attebury Grain and worked there his entire professional life, eventually becoming CFO of the company. Even after his retirement, he continued to be active in various business ventures. Bobby was an active member of Lake Tanglewood Community Church.

Bobby loved to travel, especially with his longtime companion Debbie. Their travels took them to places like Mexico, the Caribbean islands, and Alaska. Bobby's business concerns even took him to Libya and London.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Verna Mae Richardson.

He is survived by his sister Cindy Byrd, and her husband Bill of Amarillo, his niece, Katy Schulte and her husband Adam and their children Reagan (10) and Wyatt (8) of Nazareth, and his beloved companion Debbie Melugin of Lake Tanglewood. A special mention and thanks go to Susan Johnson for her care and love for Debbie.
