The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at The Home of Robbie and Emily Christie, 17701 White Wing Rd, Canyon, TX 79015 .

Blake was born on June 27, 1996 in Amarillo to Robbie and Emily (Keller) Christie. He graduated from Canyon High School in 2015 and received his BA from Texas Tech University in 2019. Blake married the love of his life Brittany, on May 28th, 2021 in Marco Island, Florida. August 14th, 2022 Blake’s greatest joy was born, Briggs Witten Christie.

Blake had many passions, one was flying. He received his pilots licensed when he was 16 years old. He flew “Old Blue” anywhere and everywhere. He later bought N2061K for his son, Briggs.

Another passion was building houses. He built his first home in 2015 while still being a senior in high school. He started Christie Homes later in 2016 where he built in Lubbock and then moved his business to Lavon in 2021.
Blake was an outdoor enthusiast, water skiing, snowboarding, fishing and more, but his favorite was hunting. From Alaska, Wyoming, Mexico to Florida, he hunted it all. He had many more hunting trips planned for the coming year, one he was especially proud of, a bear hunt with Brittany.

Blake had a wonderfully outgoing personality with a contagious smile and never met a stranger. He deeply loved his family, friends, and Jesus. Blake’s goal was for all his friends to know the love of Jesus. Blake’s greatest love of all was for his wife and his son. He was a wonderful husband and dad, he poured his heart and soul into being the best of both. He was a dedicated member of Lakepointe Church in Rockwall where he was involved in the Lonestar Diner Bible Study. Blake was also a member of Kappa Alpha Alumni and the Dallas Builders Association.

Blake was preceded in death by his grandfather, Patrick Keller. Survivors include his wife, Brittany Christie and their son, Briggs, of the home; his parents, Robbie and Emily Christie of Canyon; sister, Nikki Kreger and husband, Dustin of Lubbock; brother, Bo Christie of Lubbock; two nephews, Clyde and Grady Kreger; and grandmothers, Carolyn Christie and Patsy Keller.

In lieu of flowers, his family would greatly appreciate memorials be made to Blake Christie’s Flight Scholarship, c/o City Bank, 5219 City Bank Parkway, Lubbock, TX 79407, to assist in the education and training of future pilots.
