Obituary for BILLIE FAYE MILLER

Billie Faye Miller, 60, of Canyon, died Saturday, June 29, 2002. She died of cancer at her home surrounded by loving family and friends. Services will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 2, 2002 at Brooks Chapel with Rev. David Lowrie, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery. She was born on January 25, 1942 in Amarillo to Odell ?Luke? and Laura Lou Campbell Miller. She was raised in Canyon and graduated from Canyon High School as Valedictorian of her class in 1960. She served with the Dallas Police Department for twenty-five years, retiring in 1991. She moved back to Canyon in May of 1991 and worked as a bookkeeper for Joe and Cindy Burnett and as a receptionist for Brooks Funeral Directors. She was preceded in death by her father in 1990, and her brother, C. L. Miller, in 1992. Billie died of cancer in her home surrounded by loving family and friends. Survivors include her mother, Laura Lou Miller, of Canyon; her sister-in-law, Deanna, and husband, Don May, of Canyon; two nieces, April, and husband, Scott Wells and children, Heather, Luke, and Jackson, of Canyon, and Whitney, and husband, Gary Clark and children, Jacob, Zane, and Cody, of Canyon; one nephew, Thom, and wife Tammy Scott and children, Lindsey and Sam, of Richmond, VA; special friends, Joe and Cindy Burnett and children, of Canyon; her special canine companion, Shadow, and her horse, KoKo.
