Obituary for BETH M. RAMSEY

Beth Ramsey was born on May 18, 1930 in Plainview to Stanley and Rosa Ferguson Roach. She was the younger sister to two brothers who made her tough and the fighter she was. Beth graduated from Plainview High School where she was a cheerleader. In 1951 she met Eural W. Ramsey and they dated for two weeks before eloping to Clovis on December 29, 1951. During his coaching years, Beth was always supportive, attending every practice and game. She worked for numerous years as Vice President and Teller at West Texas State Bank. She was very competitive and an excellent bowler. She was also an avid golfer and was a member of Hunsley Hills Golf Club where she won several championships. She loved golfing with her lunch bunch. Beth was also a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, arranging her schedule around their games. She always had a sweet smile and was a ray of sunshine to all who knew her. In her last years, struggling with Alzheimers, she may not have been able to think of the words to use, but could always make up words and put them to the tune of "Amazing Grace", her all time favorite song. Beth was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Canyon.
