Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, at Dawn Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Davenport, Amarillo and Rev. James Hall, pastor of Dawn Baptist officiating. Burial will be at Dreamland Cemetery, Canyon, Tx. Mrs. Beavers was born August 31, 1913 in Pottawatomie, OK to John and Eliza Simpson. She married Walter "Walt" Thomas Beavers on December 1, 1934 in Lawton, Ok. The family moved to Canyon in 1942 then moved to the Dawn area in the late 40"s. She was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker. She cooked for the Dawn School for a number of years and also drove a school bus at times. Mrs. Beavers loved caring for her grandchildren, great grandchildren and a number of the small children in the Dawn area as long as she was able. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walt in 1982, sister, Lois Garrett of Duncan, OK and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include, two daughters, Claudine May of Lawton, OK, Waltine Tucek and husband Glenn of Canyon; and a son, Manuel Beavers and wife, Sandra of Hereford; a sister, Edna Lamb of Marlow, OK; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grand-children and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
