Obituary for Alfred Buecker

Alfred Gerhard Buecker, 75, of Happy passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Busch officiating. Graveside services will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Umbarger. A Vigil will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Brooks Chapel with Deacon Gabe Rivas officiating.  Arrangements are by Brooks Funeral Directors. Alfred was born on March 16, 1943 in Amarillo to Bernard and Anna Buecker. He graduated from Umbarger High School. He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Alfred was a lifelong cowboy, farmer and rancher. He was hard working, he loved unconditionally, and he would help anyone at any time. He was a tough cowboy with a heart of gold. Horses were his passion. Farming and family were his loves.  He was the greatest dad in the world and knowing him was “A Little Spot of Heaven.” Alfred was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include a daughter, Callie Michelle Laffin and husband, Joel, of Wisconsin; sons, David Robert Buecker of Nevada and Eric Vincent Buecker of Happy; former wife and mother of his children, Bonnie Buecker; grandchildren, Dustin Wesley, Cody Wesley, Addison Buecker, Kennan Robbins, Alexi Buecker, and Tristan Buecker; and siblings Elizabeth Weick, Anne Begert, Mary Ehly and Bernard Ben Buecker.
