Aaron F. Smith, 71, of Amarillo, died Monday, April 15, 2002 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 18, 2002 at Brooks Chapel in Canyon with Mike Suiter, Pastor of San Jacinto Church of Christ of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery, Canyon, Texas. ecil and Mamie Hamilton Smith. He graduated from Erick High School in 1948 and married Esther Jean Higgins in Albuquerque, NM on March 10, 1953. He joined in the U. S. Air Force in 1950 and served during the Korean War. He retired from ASARCO Zinc Smelter after working there for fifteen years. He was a member of the San Jacinto Church of Christ. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Cotter, of Canyon, Kathy Davis, of Amarillo, and Carol Thaggard, of Amarillo; two brothers, Hoyt Smith, of Amarillo, and Eldon Smith, of Pampa; one sister, Yvonne Moler, of Pampa; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to the Amarillo Senior Citizens, 1300 South Polk, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
